Nature Is My Muse (and Sometimes My Mood Board)

If you’ve ever seen my work, you’ve probably noticed a theme: leaves, waves, seeds, branches, stones, soft earth tones, and mossy greens. That’s not a coincidence. Nature has always been my biggest influence not just visually, but emotionally and spiritually, too.

I grew up around gardens and forests, and now that I live in Italy, I’m surrounded by even more inspiration: olive groves, mountain trails, and the quiet golden light that seems to bathe everything in beauty. It’s the kind of environment that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and really look at things. And that’s what I try to do in my work.

When I sit down to design a new print, I usually start with a sketch from something I saw on a walk or in a dream. It might be the way shadows fall across a stone path, or the delicate veins in a dried leaf. It’s not always literal sometimes it’s just a feeling. A color. A sense of stillness.

And nature doesn’t just shape the way things look—it shapes the way I work. I follow a natural rhythm in my process: slow, deliberate, respectful of materials. I use eco-conscious inks and natural fabrics because I believe deeply in honoring the earth as both muse and partner.

Nature, for me, is the original designer. I’m just here to listen, translate, and hopefully do it justice—one print at a time.
